Jason Mclennan is one of the most powerful individuals in the field of architecture and green building movement today. He is the CEO of the International Living Future Institute, a leading NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) which focuses on the transformation to a world that is socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that he is an extremely sought out designer, consultant and thought leader on this planet. McLennan is the recipient of the planet’s top prize for socially responsible design, i.e. the very prestigious Buckminster Fuller Prize. He is also quite popular as the ‘Steve Jobs’ of the green building industry, a “World Changer” by GreenBiz magazine and has been chosen as the Award of Excellence winner for Engineering News Record- one of the only individuals in the architecture profession to have won the award in its 52-year history.  

Living Building Challenge was created by McLennan – This program is the most stringent and progressive green building program in existence. In addition to this, he is the primary author of the WELL Building Standard. McLennan has also authored six books on Sustainability and Design which are used by thousands of practitioners each year, this includes the Philosophy of Sustainable Design, which is considered the ‘bible’ for green building’.
